Fol. 22

The Dimitar Psalter is an illuminated manuscript in the Old Church Slavonic language in Glagolitic script. It probably originated in the 11th or 12th century in the northeastern Bulgarian Empire . It contains the full text of the Psalms , as well as prayers (penitential prayers), recipes for various diseases and notes. The manuscript consists of 145 sheets of parchment measuring 13.5 × 11 cm with a few decorated initials . The text is similar to the Psalterium Sinaiticum . The language is a transition from Old Bulgarian to Central Bulgarian. The writing shows Serbian or Croatian influences. On sheet 141 б a Dmtr'i ( I, Dmtr'i, wrote this ) is mentioned as the scribe , on sheet 1б D'mtr ( I, the sinner D'mtr ). Overall, the manuscript was written by two scribes.

In 1975 the manuscript was found in St. Catherine's Monastery on the Sinai Peninsula during renovation work. It is located there today under the signature 3 / N. A facsimile has not yet been created.
