Dimitrij von Brunnow

Dimitrij von Brunnow , also Dmitri Karlowitsch Brunnow ( Russian Дмитрий Карлович Бруннов , * around 1753; † after 1803) was a Russian major general .

Life

Brunnow was a member of the Pomeranian - Courland noble family von Brünnow . His father, Carl von Brünnow, is said to have come to Russia from the imperial aristocratic nation or the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and there became the first lieutenant of the Smolensk garrison battalion of the border guard.

Dimitrij von Brunnow entered the army in 1767 and was Premier Major of the 6th Field Battalion in Orenburg in 1795 . His promotion to major general took place on December 18, 1799. He was chief of the Orlovsky Musketeer Regiment, which bore his name from 1799 to 1800. On November 26, 1803 he was awarded the Order of St. George IV. Class (No. 1504).

From his marriage to Anna Jakowlewa the children Alexander, Maria and Michael emerged.
