The Dimokratiko Koinoniko Kinima ( Greek Δημοκρατικό Κοινωνικό Κίνημα , German: Democratic Social Movement ), short DIKKI (ΔΗΚΚΙ) or DI.K.KI (ΔΗ.Κ.ΚΙ), is a Greek party of the socialist left and was founded in 1995 as a left-wing split from the PASOK founded.
From 1999 to 2004 she was a member of the GUE-NGL group in the European Parliament . In 2007 she joined the left-wing electoral alliance SYRIZA .
The most important programmatic points of the party are:
- Reconstruction of the ailing Greek social security system, in particular the pension insurance, with more benefits for everyone with greater burdens on the upper income brackets.
- Exit from the EU and NATO
Election results
In the 1996 parliamentary election, she was able to cross the 3 percent hurdle for the first and last time, and received nine seats. The party is divided and, after the poor performance, was already discussing the dissolution of the party.
