Dingsishan site

The site of Dingsishan ( 顶 蛳 山 遗址 , Dǐngsīshān yízhǐ ) is a clam pile ( 贝丘 遗址 ) from the transition from the Upper Paleolithic to the Mesolithic . It is located on the first terrace of the Bachi River in the Yongning District in east Nanning in the Guangxi Autonomous Region of China . Finds date from between 10,000-6,000 before today. According to Fu Xianguo from the Archaeological Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences , the earliest Neolithic relics of the Lingnan area 岭南 地区 - d. H. South China - discovered. Approx. Ceramic finds dating back 10,000 years provide important information about early pottery .

Dingsishan has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-101) since 2001 . It was excavated by the Guangxi Task Force of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Archaeological Institute中国社会科学院 考古 研究所 广西 工作 队, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Cultural Objects Group 广西壮族自治区 文物 队, and the Nanning City Museum 南宁 市 博物馆.
