Diocles (comedy poet)
Diocles was a Greek comedy poet . He came from Athens or Phleius and is named by the Suda as a contemporary of Sannyrion and Philyllios . Thus he worked towards the end of the 5th century BC. In Athens and is to be assigned to the Old Comedy. Only five titles and a few, barely revealing fragments of his pieces have survived.
