Diomede (daughter of Phorbas)
Diomede ( Greek Διομήδη ), daughter of Phorbas , is a figure in Greek mythology .
She was a granddaughter of Lapithes (thus apparently niece of the Lapithes daughter of the same name ) and came from Lesbos ; occasionally she was also referred to as Karerin . Diomede was a lover of Achilles . After the conquest of Troy , she fell into the hands of the victorious Greeks as a prisoner.
In some sources it was also called Diomedeia.
