Dipoh

The Dipoh , also Depok or Depa, was an East Indian measure of length and was valid in Sumatra . Despite the introduction of the English dimensions (Fanthom / Faden as standard with 6 English feet ), England had sovereignty until 1824, the local dimensions continued to apply.

The Dipoh was that

  • English thread with 72 inches (engl.) the same,
  • the Hehloh resembled the Engl. 36-inch yard and
  • the Kobbit was 18 inches

The dimensional chain for the Dipoh was

  • 1 Dipoh = 2 Hehlohs / Hailobs = 4 Estos / Kobbit / Cobits / Covids = 8 Jankala / Spannen = 16 Tempohs
