Kobbit

The (the) Kobbit , also K (C) ubit or K (C) ovid, was an English measure of length on the Indonesian island of Sumatra . The measure was valid until the takeover by the Dutch in 1824 in the Bengkulen branch established by the British East India Company . The measure is also known as Esto. For Yard also Hehloh was a term.

The dimensional chain was to the local measure Dipoh:

  • 1 Dipoh = 2 yards / Hehlohs / Hailobs = 4 Kobbits / Estos / Kobits / Kovids = 8 Jankala / Spannen = 16 Tempohs
