Dirk Diekmann

Dirk Diekmann is a German director and dramaturge.

Career

Diekmann first studied acting with Christa Spolvint and HG von Klöden in Hanover. Artistic stations were the Bremen Theater , the Heidelberg Theater and the German National Theater Weimar . For seven seasons he was seen at the Hessische Staatstheater Wiesbaden as Faust in Goethe's Faust I in the production by Annegret Ritzel . His production of Huebner 's Gretchen 89ff was invited to the Chekhov Art Theater Moscow Mchat and the Academy Theater Irkutsk, Siberia. In 2009 Diekmann became chief dramaturge and director at the Vorarlberger Landestheater in Bregenz . From 2011 to 2014 he was a member of the art commission for the performing arts of the state of Vorarlberg. From 2014 to 2016 he was deputy general manager at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . In September 2015, his staging of the play Die Sisters of Swing Andrews Sisters premiered at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. He was also there as a registrar in biography.
