Dirk Hielscher (born October 17, 1962 ) is a former German soccer player .

The trained striker moved in 1981 from the A-youth of the neighbor Bayer 04 Leverkusen to SV Schlebusch in the Landesliga Mittelrhein. Thanks to his speed, Hielscher soon developed into a dangerous national league striker and made himself interesting again for his home club, which brought him back in 1983 to strengthen his senior league amateur team. With convincing performances in the Oberliga Nordrhein , he soon switched to the Bayer 04 professional team. In the Bundesliga , he made 20 appearances and scored one goal. In 1986 Dirk Hielscher was signed by the second division Fortuna Köln , for which he played a total of 113 games (one goal) in the 2nd Bundesliga until 1990 .

Hielscher still plays in the traditional Bayer 04 team and is involved in youth work in Leverkusen.
