Dirk Hohwieler

Dirk Hohwieler (born July 7, 1962 in Berlin ) is a German festival production manager and journalist .

Life

Dirk Hohwieler studied at the Berlin School of Economics and took cultural management courses at the Viadrina European University in Frankfurt (Oder), where he later also gave technical seminars in cultural management .

The main focus of his work is the overall technical organization and technical management as well as the ticketing of cultural festivals in Berlin and Brandenburg . Since 2002 he has been production manager of the Elblandfestspiele Wittenberge together with Lutz Lorenz, with a focus on operettas , musicals and film music . Before that he worked in the same position as a technical employee, later as a technical manager, for the “Jewish Culture Days” in Berlin, the “Brandenburg Summer Concerts” and the German sales office of the Nostalgie Istanbul Orient Express .

As a journalist he works as an editor for the German correspondent office of the Hungarian German-language online daily Pester Lloyd in Berlin. His report focuses on economic issues and questions of scientific and technical cooperation between Germany and Hungary .
