Dirk Möhlenbruch

Dirk Möhlenbruch (* 1953 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German economist.

Life

Dirk Möhlenbruch studied business administration at the University of Cologne from 1974 to 1979 and received his doctorate in 1985 from the Philipps University of Marburg . In 1992 he completed his habilitation at the Gerhard Mercator University in Duisburg . He held teaching positions at the universities of Leipzig and Halle. In the 1991/1992 winter semester, he represented the chair for general business administration and commercial management at the Philipps University of Marburg. In 1992 he received offers from the universities of Leipzig and Halle (Saale). From April 1992 until his retirement in October 2018 he held the chair for business administration, in particular Marketing & Trade, at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg .

In 1993 he became a member of the supervisory board of the Institute for Corporate Research and Management at the Martin Luther University (ifu) eV From 1993 to 1998 he was its chairman, after which he took over the position of deputy chairman. In addition, from 1995 to 2010 he was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Stinnes Foundation (Stinnes AG), Berlin. In addition, since 2002 he has been a scientific advisory board member of the marketing and strategy consultancy Conomic, Halle (Saale). From 2001 to 2003, 2008 to 2009 and 2013 to 2015 he was Managing Director of the Institute for Business Administration at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Since 2016 he has been a member of the board of trustees of the Wolfgang Wirichs Foundation, Krefeld.
