Dirk Zupancic

Dirk Zupancic (* 1969 ) is the owner and managing director of DZP Prof. Dr. Dirk Zupancic Projects GmbH, habilitated private lecturer (PD) at the University of St. Gallen and member of the supervisory board of GEZE GmbH.

Life

Dirk Zupancic served as an officer in the German Air Force and learned the profession of banker. He then worked in finance in consulting, marketing and sales. He studied business administration with a focus on marketing, banking and business informatics at the Philipps University of Marburg . He then did his doctorate at the University of St. Gallen. He headed research projects at the University of St. Gallen and was head of the postgraduate course for system marketing for several years. After completing his doctorate , he took over the management of the competence center for business-to-business marketing at the Institute for Marketing and Trade (IMH-HSG) and later for several years also the area of ​​management education. Since his studies he has been an independent consultant and trainer at the same time. Up to 2005 he was a partner in a consulting and private equity company in Zurich for four years . In 2005 he founded his own consulting network "DZP Dirk Zupancic & Partner" in St. Gallen .

In 2008 he was appointed professor at the  German Graduate School of Management and Law  , initially for the subject areas “Management and Management Education” and later for “Industrial Goods Marketing and Sales”. In 2009 he became managing director / CEO of  the university, 2011 president. In 2014 he completed his habilitation at the University of St.Gallen on the subject of "Customer Management in Business to Business" and became a private lecturer (PD). In December 2016, he separated from the German Graduate School of Management and Law by mutual agreement. In 2017 he further developed the network “DZP Dirk Zupancic & Partner” and founded the company “DZP Prof. Dr. Dirk Zupancic Projects GmbH ".

He is the author of eight books, 60 specialist articles and several research reports. He works as a speaker in management programs at universities and companies.
