diskurs is a German trade journal. It was founded in 2005 and sees itself as a forum for interdisciplinary debates in the field of social sciences and humanities . The magazine appears once a year and is mostly devoted to a specific topic. Diskurs has been freely available as an open access journal on the website since 2012 .
For 2013 only one issue was published instead of the usual two. It was planned to revise the magazine in terms of content and concept. In June 2014 it was announced that from now on "[t] he concentration on innovative approaches that focus on the mutual saturation of theory and practice" will be in the foreground.
In November 2015, the topic Rediscovering the Political was published! a collected edition of the years 2014/2015.
