Planning level procedure

The low-level code procedure is one of the deterministic methods of determining requirements in the procurement industry .

The method takes into account the fact that materials can occur in several products and at several production stages of a product. The low-level explosion level in which a material occurs within all product structures is defined as the low-level code. The low-level code procedure summarizes the entire requirement for a material at the lowest explosion level at which the material is used. The process enables a timely allocation of requirements based on the requirements of production and the summarization of the period-based net requirements into economical batch sizes. It is also the method that is most widely used in practice.

When low-level method, each obtained intermediate product , each module , each production material and each intermediate product is a low-level code allocated, the number of which is identical to the number of the lowest stage of production, in this disposition object is used. Identical parts or assemblies are pulled down to the lowest production level when determining the planning level.
