Dissemination
Dissemination (from the Latin disseminare "sowing" ; adjective: disseminated ) means "scattering" or "sowing".
medicine
In a pathological process, the widespread distribution of symptoms or pathogens in an organ (system) or in the entire body is called dissemination. An example is also known as disseminated encephalomyelitis described multiple sclerosis . In this specific case, the intermittent character is viewed as a temporal dissemination and is a further diagnostic criterion in addition to the required spatial dissemination. In infectious diseases such as tuberculosis , dissemination is a sign and designation for an advanced stage in which the pathogens , which are initially limited to a single focus, spread to large parts of the body (one speaks of disseminated infection ). The term dissemination is also applied to pathological malfunctions such as disseminated intravascular coagulopathy . In the case of malignant tumors , the term metastasis is more common.
science
In science, the publication of research results is also referred to as dissemination.
