Distrelec is a Swiss trading company for electronic and technical products. The company is part of the Technical Components division of Datwyler Holding . With more than ten locations spread across Europe, the company is active in over thirty countries, including a. Switzerland, Germany , Austria , Italy , Norway and Sweden .
history
The company was founded in 1973 and taken over by the Datwyler Group in 1979 .
The German group subsidiary emerged from the formerly independent electronics retailer Schuricht GmbH , which was founded in 1949 by Dietrich Schuricht. After the takeover in 2001, it initially traded as Distrelec Schuricht GmbH . The German subsidiary has been called Distrelec GmbH since 2017 .
In 2008, the debt-free Swedish ELFA Group was taken over in order to fully develop the target markets of Scandinavia, the Baltic States and Eastern Europe. The Swedish subsidiary was renamed Elfa Distrelec AB.
