Munich Tovar

Munich del Carmen Tovar Paiva (born October 25, 1989 ) is a Venezuelan athlete who is mainly active as a long jumper . At a height of 1.72 m, her competition weight is 58 kg.

Life

Munich Tovar grew up in the lowlands of Barlovento in the Venezuelan state of Miranda and first played basketball and soccer . Because of her speed, the teachers at her secondary school recommended athletics to her.

successes

At the 16. Juegos Bolivarianos 2009 in Sucre she received a bronze medal in both the long jump and the triple jump . At the 2010 South American U23 Athletics Championships in Medellín , she won a silver medal in the long jump and a gold medal in the triple jump. At the South American Games 2010 in Medellín, she also received the silver medal in the long jump and the gold medal in the triple jump. At the 2011 ALBA Games in Barquisimeto , she received a silver medal in the long jump, a bronze medal in the triple jump and a silver medal with the 4 x 100 meter relay as the starting runner.

Her 6.36 m, which she jumped at the national championship on October 9, 2009 in Caracas , was a new Venezuelan record in the women's long jump. She improved the record on March 15, 2015 in São Bernardo do Campo to 6.49 m. The Venezuelan record holder was Munich Tovar until April 17, 2015, when Yolimar Rojas jumped 6.57 m in Barinas .
