São Caetano do Sul , officially Portuguese Município de São Caetano do Sul , is a city in the Brazilian state of São Paulo . As of July 1, 2019, it had an estimated population of 161,127. The small area of the political municipality is around 15.3 km² with a population density of 9736 inhabitants per km, the Sul-Caetanenser ( sul-caetanenses ) are called.
São Caetano do Sul belongs to the ABC Paulista , the industrial region in the suburban belt around São Paulo , about 13 km away, and is therefore within the metropolitan area of São Paulo .
