Adauto domingues

Adauto Domingues ( Adauto Donizete Domingues ; born May 20, 1961 in São Caetano do Sul ) is a former Brazilian obstacle , medium and long distance runner .

In 1983 he won bronze over 3000 m obstacle at the Ibero-American Championships. At the Athletics South American Championships he won bronze over 3000 m obstacle and over 1500 m in Santa Fe in 1983 and won both disciplines in 1985 in Santiago .

In 1986 he came in 68th place at the World Cross Country Championships in Colombier . At the Ibero-American Championships he won over 3000 m obstacles and won silver over 5000 m .

The following year he won the Pan American Games in Indianapolis in 1987 over 3000 m obstacle and won silver over 5000 m. At the World Athletics Championships in Rome , he was eliminated over 3000 m obstacle in the preliminary run.

In 1988 he came in 61st place at the Cross Country World Championships in Auckland and reached the semifinals at the Olympic Games in Seoul over 3000 m obstacle.

In 1989 he failed at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Budapest over 3000 m in the preliminary run and won the South American Championships in Medellín over 3000 m obstacle.

In 1991 he defended his title over 3000 m obstacle at the South American Championships in Manaus and at the Pan American Games in Havana . At the South American Championships in Lima in 1993, at the end of his career, he achieved a double victory over 3000 m obstacle and 1500 m.
