Erich Storz
Erich Storz (born December 11, 1927 in Rotenburg an der Fulda ; † September 9, 2016 in Bad Sachsa ) was a German singer , music producer and publisher .
Life
Storz, who moved with his family to Osterode am Harz shortly after his birth , was one of the most popular German folk musicians after being a prisoner of war and various professional attempts in the 1950s ; His frequent cooperation partners were also named after it: "The funny folk musicians". In 1958 he had great success with the title Die kleine Bimmelbahn alone, in duets and with the "Erich Storz Trio". The small railway sung about in this song actually existed, namely the Osterode – Kreiensen circular railway , built in 1898–1900 and closed in 1967 .
Initially, Storz composed marches and composed the waltz Under the Bridges of the Seine . Later there were other hits with titles like Köhlerliesl or Hohe Tannen .
In 1947 he, who called himself “Schnulzenkönig” and called himself, founded Arminia-Musikverlag (with the Storz Records International label), where his wife Marianne Vasel and Marianne Opitz (often together with him) also published.
Storz lived for many years in Lippoldsberg on the Weser and later moved to Bad Sachsa in the Harz Mountains . In the new millennium, numerous articles on folk music studies were made for the MDR .
