Jérémy beccu (* 22. September 1990 in Auchel ) is a French professional boxer in the bantamweight .

Boxing career

Jérémy Beccu became French youth champion in 2008 and also won a bronze medal at the 2008 World Youth Championships in Guadalajara . He defeated Erwin Marks, Cuba (29:26), Khabibulla Ismail-Achunow, Kazakhstan (34: 8) and Robert Kanalas, Hungary (demolition), before he was eliminated in the semifinals against Nanao Singh, India (4:14).

2009 was another successful year. He again won the French Championship, the Mediterranean Games in Pescara and the Francophonie Games in Beirut . He beat Alfonso Pinto , Italy (14: 1), Kelvin de la Nieve , Spain (+3: 3), Mohamed Helmi, Egypt (11: 1), Jonathan Quinit, Canada (8: 7) and Haithem Azizi , Tunisia (13: 5).

In 2010 and 2011 he was again French champion. He also won the three-nation tournament in Berck and reached fifth place at the 2011 European Championships in Ankara , after losing to Salman Əlizadə , Azerbaijan (19:26) in the quarter-finals . At the 2011 World Championships in Baku he defeated Lebogang Pilane, South Africa (21: 9) and Shahobiddin Zoirov , Uzbekistan (21:19), before being eliminated in the round of 16 against Shin Jong-hun , South Korea (10:22).

In 2012 he won the four-nation tournament in Berck and defeated David Hajrapetjan (14:11) in an international match . In July 2012 he started at the Olympic Games in London , but lost in the first fight against the eventual world champion Birschan Schaqypow (17:18).

In 2013 he switched to the professionals.
