Frank Sitta (born June 30, 1978 in Sangerhausen ) is a German politician ( FDP ). He is state chairman of the FDP Saxony-Anhalt , district chairman of his party in Halle (Saale) and a member of the presidium of the FDP . Since its constitution on October 24, 2017, Sitta has been a member of the 19th German Bundestag and deputy chairman of his parliamentary group there.

Life and work

After graduating from the Thomas-Müntzer-Gymnasium in Halle and the civilian Frank Sitta holds a degree in political science and economics at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and acquired the academic degree of diploma -Politikwissenschaftlers. He also held an international artist agency , organized music festivals and operational with friends a club for electronic music in Leipzig . During his studies, Sitta worked for the Federal Association of Medical Technology and the Federal Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Berlin . In 2008 he founded his current company, Sitta Kongress- und Eventmanagement GmbH . In addition, Sitta completed an apprenticeship as a European event manager at the European Media and Event Academy in Baden-Baden in 2009 .

From 2013 to 2014, Frank Sitta was a member of the Federal Board of Directors of the Junior Economists in Germany and the State Chairman of the Economic Juniors of Saxony-Anhalt . He has been an honorary member of the Junior Chamber International and JCI Senator since 2015 . In addition, Sitta is involved in the G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance .

Sitta is married and lives with his wife and two children in Halle (Saale).

Frank Sitta joined the Young Liberals in 1993 , of which he is still a sustaining member. In 2001 he joined the FDP. On April 25, 2015, Sitta was elected regional chairman of his party at the 25th state party conference of the FDP Saxony-Anhalt in Peißen . On August 29, 2015, an assembly of delegates in Magdeburg nominated him as the FDP top candidate for the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 2016 , in which the FDP just missed entry into parliament. He is also involved in the Liberal Initiative Mittelstand Sachsen-Anhalt . At the FDP federal party conference in 2017 , he was elected to the presidium on April 29, 2017.

In the federal election on September 24, 2017 , Sitta ran for first place on the state list of the FDP Saxony-Anhalt, which achieved a result of 7.8 percent of the second votes nationwide. He became a member of the 19th German Bundestag, which was constituted on October 24, 2017. From the parliamentary group of the Free Democrats Sitta was elected with 94.81 percent as deputy chairman of the Group Executive Board.

Frank Sitta is responsible for digitization on the parliamentary group board; Transport and digital infrastructure; Construction, housing, urban development and municipalities; Environment, Conservation and Nuclear Safety; Agriculture and Food.

According to his own information, he wants to withdraw from politics from autumn 2021.
