Andreas Reichel (born April 15, 1961 in Bielefeld ) is a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( FDP ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and high school with the Abitur and military service, he completed an apprenticeship as a banker. He then studied law at the University of Bonn until 1989 . In 1994 Reichel received his doctorate and is employed by Ruhrkohle AG .

Reichel has been a member of the FDP since 1980. He is represented in numerous party committees, for example from 1982 to 1991 state chairman of the Junge Liberalen NRW and district chairman of the FDP Cologne. From 1992 to 1994 he was General Secretary of the North Rhine-Westphalian FDP, then Deputy State Chairman until 1996. In April 2002 he was elected to the state treasurer to succeed Irmgard Schwaetzer , but resigned from his office in December 2002. He is currently an assessor in the state board of the FDP NRW and a member of the board by virtue of the office of the FDP district association Ruhr.

Reichel was a member of the executive board of E.DIS AG. Since August 1, 2020, he has been Human Resources Manager and Labor Director at STEAG GmbH.

MP

From May 30, 1985 to May 31, 1995 Reichel was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected from his party's national list. During his time as a member of the state parliament, he was the education policy spokesman for the FDP parliamentary group.
