history

E.DIS AG was founded in 1999 as a regional energy supplier through the merger of the predecessor companies EMO Neubrandenburg, HEVAG Rostock, MEVAG Potsdam and OSE Fürstenwalde. The company initially operated under the name e.dis Energie Nord AG . In 2002 the name was changed to E.DIS Aktiengesellschaft , before the name was changed to E.ON edis AG in 2005 . Requirements of the legislature and the Federal Network Agency , according to which network operation and energy sales must be clearly separated from each other, prompted the change of name to E.DIS AG on July 1, 2013. In this context, E.DIS Netz GmbH was founded on July 3, 2017 . Since then, E.DIS AG has acted as a holding company for E.DIS Netz GmbH as well as for other subsidiaries.

The E.DIS Group is still responsible for the electricity and gas network and other business areas, but not for the sale of electricity and gas.

Corporate structure

In addition to the company's headquarters, key central functions are located in Potsdam and Demmin . In addition, there are three regional areas with 30 locations for direct on-site support for network customers.
