Daniela Schmitt (born August 5, 1972 in Alzey ) is a German politician ( FDP ). She has been State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate since May 2016 and an assessor in the FDP federal executive committee since 2013 .

After completing an apprenticeship as a bank clerk, Schmitt initially studied savings bank business administration and successfully completed a degree in banking business administration at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in 2010/11 . She was from 2011 to 2016 director of the regional markets Bingen / Ingelheim and Mainz the Mainzer Volksbank and honorary commercial judge at the district court Mainz . Since 2012 she has been a member of the University Board of Trustees of the Technical University of Bingen .

Schmitt has been deputy state chairwoman of the FDP Rhineland-Palatinate since 2013 , state chairwoman of the Liberal Mittelstand Rhineland-Palatinate since 2011 and a member of the federal executive committee of the FDP since 2013 .
