Hauke ​​Hilz (born May 29, 1977 in Stade ) is a German food chemist, professor of food chemistry and a member of the Bremen Citizenship ( FDP ).

Family, education and work

Hilz passed his Abitur in 1996 at the Athenaeum in Stade. After his military service in Altenwalde and Schwanewede, he studied food chemistry at the University of Hamburg from 1997 to 2001 . He completed his training as a food chemist in 2002 with the state examination. He worked in the Netherlands and received his doctorate in food chemistry from Wageningen University in 2007 . Hilz then worked at the association for technology transfer ttz in Bremerhaven . In 2010 he was appointed professor of food chemistry at the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences . From 2012 to 2016 he was a member of the staff council at the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences; from 2016 to 2020 he was a deputy member.

Hilz is married and has two children. He lives in Bremerhaven Leherheide.

In 2005 Hilz joined the FDP's Europe group . In 2007 he switched to the Bremen FDP. There he belongs to the FDP district association Bremerhaven, whose deputy chairman Hilz has been since 2008. In June 2011 Hilz was elected to succeed Oliver Möllenstädt in the third ballot as state chairman of the Bremen FDP . He was re-elected four times: on April 28, 2012 unanimously and on April 12, 2014 with 96% of the votes. In his third re-election on April 8, 2016, he received 91.5% of the vote. In April 2018 he was re-elected for the fourth time with 93% of the vote. From 2011 to 2013 Hilz was a permanent guest on the federal executive committee of the FDP. Hilz has been an elected member of the federal executive committee of the FDP since May 2013. In the federal elections in 2013 and 2017 , Hilz ran as a direct candidate in the Bremen II constituency (Bremerhaven / Bremen-Nord). He was the top candidate of the FDP Bremerhaven for the citizenship elections on May 10, 2015 and 2019 . As such, he was one of six liberals to enter parliament in 2015 and was re-elected to the parliament on May 26, 2019.

In the 19th legislative period, Hilz worked in the Committee for Port Affairs in the State of Bremen (member), Performa Nord Operational Committee (member), Budget and Finance Committee (State) (member) and in the Audit Committee (State) (Chairman). In the 20th legislative period he works in the Committee for Port Affairs in the State of Bremen, in the Education Deputation, in the Committee for Federal and European Affairs, International Contacts and Development Cooperation and in the Legal Committee.

Hilz has been deputy chairman of the FDP parliamentary group since 2015.

Since July 2015 he has also been a member of the Bremerhaven city council . There he has been a member of the Committee for School and Culture and the Committee for Youth, Family and Women since 2015. From 2015 to 2020 Hilz was deputy parliamentary group chairman, since April 15, 2020 he has been parliamentary group chairman. The FDP has been part of the government coalition made up of the SPD, CDU and FDP since August 2019.
