Judith Skudelny
Judith Skudelny (born October 2, 1975 in Stuttgart ) is a German politician of the FDP . Skudelny was a member of the German Bundestag from 2009 to 2013 and has been Secretary General of the FDP Baden-Württemberg since 2015 . She has been a member of the Bundestag again since the 2017 Bundestag election.
Life
Judith Skudelny grew up in Leinfelden-Echterdingen . After graduating from high school in 1995 in Stuttgart-Möhringen , she studied law at the University of Tübingen , which she graduated with the first state examination in 1999. Skudelny then worked for a year as a personal advisor to Ulrich Noll, member of the Baden-Württemberg FDP state parliament . After her second state examination, she was admitted to the bar in 2003 and has since worked as a lawyer specializing in restructuring and insolvency law. In 2005 Skudelny was appointed as insolvency administrator and has been a partner in the law firm Rüdisühli Rechtsanwälte GbR in Stuttgart since 2009. Until July 2017 she was managing director of an engineering office based in Gerlingen, later Leonberg, for 7 years. Skudelny is married and has a son and a daughter.

Skudelny joined the Young Liberals as a student and has been a member of the FDP since 1998. In 2004 she was elected to the council of her place of residence in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (re-election 2009). In the 2009 election , Judith Skudelny entered the Bundestag via the Baden-Württemberg state list ( constituency 262 / Nürtingen ). In January 2015, Skudelny was elected General Secretary of the FDP Baden-Württemberg by the state party conference .
Judith Skudelny was a full member of the Committee on the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. As a reporter, she was responsible for the issues of noise / noise protection, non-nuclear radiation protection, environment and environmental planning law, soil protection and the cross-cutting issue of "Agriculture and environmental protection". At the beginning of 2013, Skudelny succeeded Christian Ahrendt (FDP) in the legal committee of the German Bundestag. As a full member, she has since been responsible for insolvency law, insurance law, civil procedural law and passenger rights.
In addition, Judith Skudelny was a deputy member of the committee for families, senior citizens, women and youth. At the same time, since 2011 she has been a full member of the study commission "Growth, Prosperity, Quality of Life - Paths to Sustainable Business and Social Progress in the Social Market Economy". This commission deals with the problem of how social growth and prosperity can be reconciled with sustainable development.
In addition, Skudelny was a deputy member of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Sustainable Development and the Gorleben investigation committee.
In 2009, she took her then four-month-old baby to the constituent session of the Bundestag. As a result, her daughter became the first baby in the plenary hall of the Bundestag.
In 2013 Judith Skudelny became the state chairwoman of the Liberal Women .
Judith Skudelny has been General Secretary of the FDP Baden-Württemberg since 2015.
In 2017 Judith Skudelny became a member of the 19th German Bundestag . There she is a full member of the Committee for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and a deputy member of the Committee for Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection . Skudelny is also the environmental policy spokeswoman for the FDP parliamentary group and chairwoman of the FDP regional group in Baden-Württemberg.
