Manfred R. Eisenbach (* 1947 ) is a German management consultant and managing director as well as a politician of the FDP .

Life

Manfred R. Eisenbach studied law and political science at the Universities of Bonn , Munich and Geneva . In 1972 he completed his studies with the first state examination in law and as a qualified economist. Manfred Eisenbach has been working as an independent management consultant (ESC EisenbachStrategyConsulting) since 2004 and, since 2006, as managing director of Universum Kommunikation GmbH in Berlin .

politics

Eisenbach has been a member of the FDP since 1968. In 1973 he became a research assistant to the Federal Minister of the Interior, Werner Maihofer . From 1973 to 1982 he worked as a personal advisor to the Bundestag member Klaus-Jürgen Hoffie and at the same time from 1976 as secretary of the Transport and Post Working Group of the FDP parliamentary group . Then he took over the leadership of the parliamentary group office of the FDP parliamentary group. From 1991 to 2004 he was the managing director of the FDP parliamentary group. Since 2005 he has been the FDP's honorary coordinator for international party work.

Eisenbach is a permanent guest as deputy coordinator for international party work, with a focus on Liberal International in the FDP federal executive committee . For many years he was a member of the FDP Federal Committee on International Politics and the Federal Committee of Culture. He has been a board member of the German Liberal International Group (DGLI) since 2007 and has been its General Secretary and Treasurer since then. He has been an honorary principal treasurer of the Liberal International (LI) since 2015.

Since 2013 he has been chairman of the Society for Freedom - Friends and Supporters of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation .

Other activities

Since 1988 Eisenbach has been an active member of various clubs (Düsseldorf-Oberkassel, Koblenz and Berlin) of the Kiwanis District Germany e. V. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Kiwanis Foundation Germany since 2014 and its Deputy Executive Chairman since October 1, 2017. From 2005 to 2017 he was treasurer of the German-British Society . V., Berlin, and has been a member of the German Society for Foreign Policy for many years .
