Axel Graf Bülow (born November 9, 1952 in Evessen ) is a German politician ( FDP ). Bülow was chairman of the FDP state association in Brandenburg from 2014 to 2019 . As chief executive of the Federal Association of Independent Petrol Stations and independent German mineral oil traders , he worked as a lobbyist .

education and profession

Bülow, descendant of the Prussian general Friedrich Wilhelm Graf Bülow von Dennewitz , was born near Wolfenbüttel and grew up in the Rhineland.

After graduation in Siegburg Bulow studied in Kiel and Bonn law . He finished his studies at the age of 31 with the first state examination in law . Instead of entering the legal traineeship , which is a prerequisite for later work as a judge or lawyer, Bülow took up a position as assistant to the management at the German Taxi- and Car Rental Association in Bonn. Bülow joined the FDP in March 1998. From 1998 to 2006 he was a member of the board of the FDP local association Alfter ( Rhein-Sieg-Kreis , NRW ), from 2000 to 2006 chairman of the local association Alfter . In 2006 he moved to the Potsdam district association and has been a member of the district board of the FDP Potsdam since 2010. In November 2014, Bülow was elected chairman of the Brandenburg FDP regional association. Bülow is a member of the Liberal Seniors (LiS) and assessor on the board of the German section of Liberal International (LI).
