Uwe Woltemath

Uwe Woltemath (born September 18, 1956 in Bremen ) is a German politician (until 2010 FDP ) and was a member of the Bremen Parliament . After graduating from high school, he studied economics and has been a freelance journalist since 1982.

Woltemath was a member of the FDP from 1978 to 2010 . He is co-founder of the Bremen State Association of Young Liberals . From April 2006 to September 2006 he was state treasurer of the FDP Bremen. At the beginning of September 2006 he was elected regional chairman to succeed Peter Bollhagen, who had resigned. In March 2009 he resigned as state chairman after internal party disputes over school policy.

From 2007 to 2011 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship and represented in the legal committee, the budget and finance committee and in the deputation for the interior of the citizenship. He resigned from the position of chairman of the FDP parliamentary group at the end of August 2010. On December 9, 2010 he resigned from the party and parliamentary group of the FDP, whereupon the party lost its parliamentary group status.

Bremen and Bremerhaven citizens list

After leaving the FDP, Woltemath founded the electoral association "Bremer und Bremerhaven Citizens List" (short name: BBL ). With this he took part in the state election in Bremen 2011 in the Bremen electoral area. The electoral association achieved 0.4% of the vote.

Alternative option 2013

Woltemath was one of the 68 main illustrators of the Euro-critical election alternative 2013 , but did not join the alternative for Germany that emerged from it .
