The Wageningen University ( Dutch Wageningen Universiteit ) is a university in the Netherlands based in the city of Wageningen . She specializes in the life sciences in the broadest sense and is a founding member of the Euroleague for Life Sciences .
courses
The course consists of two parts: the Bachelor of Science course (BSc) with a duration of three years, followed by the Master of Science course (MSc) with a duration of two years. Wagening's courses are not subject to a numerus fixus. At the latest from the master’s degree (fourth and fifth years, depending on the degree), the lessons are completely in English .

Wageningen University and Research Center
1918 was Landbouw Hogeschool Wageningen founded in 1986 in Wageningen Agricultural renamed. In 2000 the Wageningen University and Research Center ( Wageningen Universiteit en Researchcentrum or simply Wageningen UR or "WUR") was founded, which consists of a collaboration between the Wageningen University, the Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences and various Dutch research institutes. The whole center now has over 8,500 students and 7,400 employees.

In the evaluation list Times: Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-2016 , Wageningen University was ranked 49th in a global comparison of 400 universities studied. This made it the best university in the Netherlands.
