ArtEZ
The ArtEZ is an art school in the Netherlands. It was created on January 1, 2002 from the merger of various academies and art colleges in Arnhem , Enschede and Zwolle , located in the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel in the eastern Netherlands. In 2006, the previously independent Conservatorium Enschede became part of ArtEZ. ArtEZ is an artificial word made up of the first letters of the three university locations and “art”, meaning “art”, which is intended to indicate the main focus of the institutes.
At the various ArtEZ locations, around 3,000 students are looked after by over 850 employees, making it the largest Dutch art college, albeit relatively small in relation to general universities. Both Bachelor's and Master's degrees are offered.
