The Saba University School of Medicine is a private college for medicine on the Dutch Caribbean island of Saba . Founded in 1992, the institution's campus is located in The Bottom , the capital of the island.

history

The college was founded in 1992. The aim was to offer a more cost effective alternative for potential students from the United States and Canada . Since opening, more than 2500 students have attended the school's program. The students remain at the school for a period of ten semesters, which is divided between academic and clinical studies. The practical part of the training takes place at hospitals in the USA or Canada. Upon successful completion, the students acquire the academic degree of Doctor of Medicine .

Facilities

The campus of the Saba University School of Medicine offers classic lecture halls, a library, computer laboratories and laboratories for microbiology and dissection .

Accreditation

The university has obtained various accreditations , which are primarily intended to allow students to practice in the USA or Canada after completing their studies. However, since the university is located on Dutch territory, it is also possible to have a branch in the Netherlands. The following institutions accept a degree from Saba University:
