The Design Academy Eindhoven is a design academy in Eindhoven (Netherlands).

history

It was founded in 1947 under the name "Academy for Industrial Design Eindhoven (AIVE - Akademie Industriële Vormgeving Eindhoven)". In 1997 the academy moved to the factory building "De Witte Dame", a building from the New Objectivity era , and was given its current name.

From 1999 to 2009 Lidewij Edelkoort was President of the Design Academy Eindhoven. Anne Mieke Eggenkamp has been President since 2009, and since 2011 she has been managing the Academy together with Igor van Hooff.

The Design Academy Eindhoven is a renowned training center for design . The Bachelor and Master degrees are completed in trimesters; A postgraduate master’s degree is also offered. The language of instruction is Dutch and English.
