The private university for business, technology and culture ( hwtk ) is a state-recognized university of applied sciences that was founded in 2011 and is accredited by the Science Council and is based in Berlin . It trains young people for business in dual, full-time and distance learning courses in Berlin and Baden-Baden and, as an international university for business, technology and culture gGmbH, belongs to the F + U group of companies in Heidelberg . Study operations began on October 1, 2012. Wolfgang Schuster has been President of the university since September 1, 2017.

Study models
The hwtk is characterized by an innovative study concept and combines different study models under the umbrella of one university. Depending on the personal and professional living conditions of the students, the study model in many hwtk courses can be changed at the end of the semester. For example, students can start in the distance learning model and continue their studies without any delay in the practice-integrated dual or full-time study model.
Locations
The head office has been located at Bernburger Straße 24/25 in Berlin since March 26, 2018. Since the 2013/14 winter semester, the hwtk has also been offering the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the Baden-Baden campus (campus of EurAka Baden-Baden gGmbH).
