The Quadriga is a private university for management in the areas of communications , policy and public affairs , human resources , sales , marketing , organizational development and digital transformation .

history

The university was officially recognized on July 9, 2009 by the Senate Department for Education, Science and Research of the State of Berlin. Studies have been running since April 2010. The founding president is the former director of Südwestrundfunk Peter Voss . The university is run by Quadriga Hochschule Berlin GmbH. It is part of the Quadriga network and thus offers opportunities to get to know managers of European corporations and start-ups in teaching and at events such as conferences, congresses or awards, or to let them develop themselves as personal mentors.

Education

Quadriga Hochschule Berlin currently offers the following seven part-time MBA courses that have been accredited by FIBAA with top grades:

  • MBA Leadership & Sales Management
  • MBA Leadership & Digital Marketing Management
  • MBA Leadership & Organization
  • MBA Leadership & Digital Business Transformation

In addition, the university offers the Master of Arts course "MA Communication & Leadership". All courses require a university degree (at least a bachelor's degree ) and several years of professional experience. The tuition fees are up to 29,000 euros for the program.

During their studies, each student receives several tickets for relevant meetings or congresses as well as a mentor.

The university's courses are officially recognized by the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Science of the State of Berlin and were accredited for five to seven years without any conditions in September 2016.

In addition to the degree programs, the university's offering in cooperation with Quadriga Media includes numerous further training opportunities, such as congresses, meetings, seminars, e-learning courses and compact study programs. Quadriga University Berlin is part of the Quadriga group of companies.

research

As a practice-oriented university, applied research plays a central role. As an institute for occupational field research, various professions have been examined regularly since it was founded and current trends and changes in the occupational fields are continuously evaluated. In addition, research projects and studies on digital transformation and digital leadership are moving into the focus of public interest.

German press academy

The German Press Academy, founded in 2003, is a private school for basic and advanced training in the areas of public relations , press and public relations work and communication management . The German Press Academy is one of the established providers in this segment. It belongs to Quadriga Media GmbH, which cooperates with Quadriga University Berlin.

criticism

Since the Quadriga University advertises itself with well-known journalists in particular, it is publicly criticized that the boundaries between journalism and public relations are being softened. The NDR media magazine Zapp sees the university as an example of a questionable proximity between public relations and journalism.
