Markus N. Beeko
Markus N. Beeko (* 1967 in Cologne ) is a German human rights activist and Secretary General of the German section of Amnesty International .
After studying marketing, organization and traffic safety at the University of Cologne from 1988 to 1994 , which he completed with a Master of Business Administration , he worked for the advertising agency LINTAS for five years, followed by four years at Prognos .
From 2004 he headed the “Campaigns and Communication” department of the German section of Amnesty International and was also a member of the “Global Communications Group” in the international secretariat of Amnesty International in London .
He succeeded Selmin Çalışkan in the office of General Secretary on September 1, 2016 .
