Saint-Mars-la-Jaille ( Breton : Sant-Marzh-an-Olivenn ) is a village and a commune déléguée in the French commune of Vallons-de-l'Erdre with 2,397 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Loire department -Atlantique in the region Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Saint-Marsiens .
On January 1, 2018, Saint-Mars-la-Jaille was merged with Bonnœuvre , Freigné , Maumusson , Saint-Sulpice-des-Landes and Vritz to form the commune nouvelle Vallons-de-l'Erdre. The municipality of Saint-Mars-la-Jaille belonged to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis is part of the canton of Ancenis (until 2015: canton of Saint-Mars-la-Jaille ).

Saint-Mars-la-Jaille is located on the Erdre River . Saint-Mars-la-Jaille is surrounded by the villages of Saint-Sulpice-des-Landes in the north, Freigné in the east, Maumusson in the southeast and Bonnœuvre in the south and west.
The former National Route 178bis runs through the village .
