Distress marker (military)

Distress markers are signaling devices that send out optical signals as a stroboscope . They either indicate an emergency situation or enable identification. In the military sector, distress markers are used specifically to identify troop units at night. Military distress markers work with infrared lightning signals whose rhythm or lightning code can be set and which can be recognized with night vision devices .
