Jungle Disk (sometimes also JungleDisk ) is a commercial software for synchronizing files with file hosting services. Originally, Jungle Disk was primarily used for data backup , but now also offers options for integrating storage space for online services as local storage or for synchronizing data between multiple systems.

Initially, Jungle Disk only supported storing data on Amazon S3 . In autumn 2008, Jungle Disk was bought by the hosting provider Rackspace and now also supports the storage of data with this provider. Jungle Disk is available for Linux , Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows .

The jungle disk client not only enables access to the data on the online storage space (e.g. S3), but also integration into the file system of the local computer as a normal network drive. Furthermore, it offers sophisticated options for manual or automatic data backups, and access via a web browser is also possible.
