The district of Lefke , Turkish Lefke İlçesi , is one of the six districts of the internationally unrecognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the northwest of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus . Its main town is Lefke . In terms of population (2011: 11.091 inhabitants) it is the smallest district of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Before 1974, the area of ​​today's district belonged to the Republic of Cyprus and its Nicosia district , but this district has no de facto control over this district. The Erenköy exclave is part of the district.
