Division I (chess) 1964

The Division I in 1964 was the 15th Swedish team championship in chess ( Allsvenskan ) and simultaneously the 12th staging in a league mode with ascent and descent.

date and location

The competitions were held in Eskilstuna on October 31st and November 1st .

Tournament course

The Östergötland elected team , which had been promoted in the previous year, won all three competitions and thus became Swedish champions, while the second climber, the Dalarna elected team , was relegated without points. The defending champion Wasa SK and the team from Mälardalen each achieved 3: 3 points, but Wasa had three board points ahead and thus achieved relegation.
