Preliminary round
While three teams with the first team of Le Cavalier Differdange , Cercle d'échecs Dudelange and De Sprénger Echternach had already qualified for the Poule Haute before the last round, the decision about fourth place was only made in the last round. In the end, Gambit Bonnevoie qualified for the Poule Haute by one board point.
Differdange and Dudelange had the best starting positions with 12: 2 points each and won the first two competitions, so the direct comparison had to decide in the last round. Due to the better points on the board, Differdange would have been enough to draw, but as in the preliminary round, Dudelange won and became champions.
