Division national (chess) 2019/20
The national division (chess) 2019/20 is the top division of the Luxembourg team championship in chess.
The champions became the first team from Gambit Bonnevoie , which relegated defending champion De Sprénger Echternach to second place. The Nordstad chess club and the second team from Gambit Bonnevoie were promoted from the Promotion d'honneur and both had to relegate immediately.

mode
The tournament should be divided into a preliminary round and a final round. The eight participating teams first played a simple round-robin tournament . In the finals, the first four in Poule Haute were supposed to play for the title, the last four in Poule Basse against relegation, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the finals were canceled and it was later decided that the standings would be after the preliminary round counts as the final score. First, the total of the team points (2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a defeat), then the direct comparison and then the number of board points (3 points for a win, 2 points for a Draw, 1 point for a loss, 0 points for a loss without a fight).
Game dates
The preliminary round competitions were held on September 22nd, October 6th and 20th, November 24th, December 8th, 2019, January 12th and March 1st, 2020. The final round competitions were scheduled for March 15th and 29th and April 26, 2020.
