Doctor Khumalo (born June 26, 1967 in Soweto ; actually Theophilus Khumalo ) is a former South African football player .
Career
Doctor Khumalo started his career in 1987 with the Kaizer Chiefs , where he played until 1995. For six months he then gave a short guest appearance with Ferro Carril Oeste in the Argentine league in 1995, before playing in Major League Soccer with Columbus Crew from 1995 to 1998 . From 1998 to the end of his career in 2004 he played again for the Kaizer Chiefs.
Despite the little international experience, Khumalo is considered one of the best South African football players of all time. In the South African Premier Soccer League he scored 74 goals in 380 games.
