Dofri is the name of a giant from Norse mythology who is called þáttr in the Þulur and in Haralds . In Haralds þáttr he is described as a giant who lives in the mountain Dofrafjall (from which his name is derived, which according to Rudolf Simek can also be interpreted as "the lazy").

Dofri tried in Haralds þáttr for Yule food out of the hall Halvdans Black to steal, but is caught and fixed. The young Harald Fairhair frees the giant. He takes on Haralds, who was exiled by his father because of the act, and educates him for his future duties as the Norwegian king.
