Valentinzeileis (born October 7, 1873 in Wachenroith near Nuremberg ; † July 15, 1939 in Gallspach ) was a pioneer of electrophysical therapy .

Life

The son of a boiler smith learned the trade of metal printer, as well as that of his father. Some sources refer to him as a trained locksmith. In Nuremberg he found contact with adherents of theosophy on the one hand, but also with scientific circles. In 1898 he married the pianist Helene Gundler. The couple's only son was born in the same year. After the divorce of his marriage in 1903, he moved to Vienna and married Friederike Mautner Markhof (1872–1954), member of a wealthy industrial family and active member of women's rights movements (Vienna Settlement Society, Federation of Austrian Women's Associations).

From 1903 Valentinzeile worked as an artisan at the Wiener Werkstätte and realized, among other things, designs by Kolo Moser (husband of (E) ditha Mautner-Markhof).

The young man also worked as a zoo keeper, tamer and "healer" - benefiting from his relationships with the Mautner-Markhof and Reininghaus families. Lineis was primarily concerned with experiments relating to the medical application of electricity - with high-frequency alternating currents. After the acquisition of Wasserschloss Gallspach (1912) ,zeileis moved his activities to this Upper Austrian town in 1920 ( although this was attacked by doctors like Julius Wagner-Jauregg as quackery ). In 1929 he established the Linieis Institute there.

With the entry of his son Friedrich G. Reiheis as a junior partner in the treatment team, thelinieis treatment activity was to be placed on a firmer legal basis. Rowis junior did his doctorate in Germany, however, which posed problems of nostrification . The institute was only approved in June 1950.

In 1926 Valentinzeileis became an honorary citizen of the Gallspach community .

Fritzzeileis (1898–1978) continued his work after his father's death. In 1937, the long-time director of the Linieis Institute also became an honorary citizen of Gallspach. In 1978 he was awarded the Great Gold Medal of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria .
