The documentation center is intended to document the deportation of the population of Upper Silesia for forced labor to the Soviet Union at the end of World War II and to gather new knowledge. A large number of the deportees perished during their placement in the labor camps.

The initiator of the center is the Mayor of Radzionków Gabriel Tobor .

The exhibits include a wooden railroad car that resembles the wagons that were used during the deportations. One of the memorabilia on display is a wood carving of a camp inmate in which the name of the Kemerovo camp with the years 1945–46, the word Siberia and the image of a thistle are carved. Personal letters are also presented. In addition to the exhibits, the museum will also be designed to be interactive.
