The Dollman tree mouse ( Prionomys batesi ) is a rodent from the subfamily tree mice that is found in Central Africa. It is the only species in the genus Prionomys .

The animal reaches a head-trunk length of about 60 mm and a tail length of 100 mm. The short, velvety fur is brown on top with pink tinges and becomes lighter on the sides. The fur is pinkish-light gray on the stomach and legs. The tail is covered with short dark brown to black hair. Presumably it is suitable for grasping. The Dollman tree mouse lacks the thumb and the toes of the feet have claws.

The Dollman tree mouse has rarely been caught in Cameroon , the Republic of the Congo, and the Central African Republic . She was mostly found in clearings of damp forests, where she digs tunnels. Insects serve as food .

Due to the low level of knowledge, the species is listed by the World Conservation Union (IUCN) with too little data ( data deficient ).
